Shawnta Pride, a proud West Helena, Arkansas native, made Florida home in high school and went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bethune-Cookman University and Nova Southeastern University. A former educator and school leader with over 12 years in Duval County Public Schools, Shawnta has also served as an adjunct professor and currently brings her leadership skills to The Daniels Law Firm as firm administrator. She’s a devoted mom of two and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., known for her passion for education, service, and community empowerment.

Millicent E. Daniels, Esq., also known as “The People’s Attorney,” is a proud New Orleans native raised in Jacksonville, Florida. A double Gator, she earned both her journalism and law degrees from the University of Florida, where she was a campus leader. As founder of The Daniels Law Firm, Millicent has recovered millions for clients across Florida in personal injury, wrongful death, and criminal defense cases.

Tatiana Brathwaite
Treasurer, Creative Strategist & Youth Empowerment Advocate
Tatiana is a University of Central Florida graduate with a BSBA in integrated business and is currently pursuing her MBA in marketing at the University of North Florida. With a passion for beauty, branding, and digital storytelling, she brings a fresh, forward-thinking perspective to II Dope Chics Who Give a Care, Inc. Tatiana is committed to using her creative talents to inspire youth, amplify community voices, and make giving back feel powerful. She’s an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Through every project, she hopes to create spaces where young, underserved people feel seen, supported, and empowered to dream big.
Leesa Askew
Board Member
Leesa Askew is an award-winning speaker, author, and transformational coach who leads with passion and purpose. A proud Jacksonville native and graduate of both William Raines High School and the University of Florida’s College of Journalism, she began her career in television before building a successful path in sales, marketing, and leadership with Fortune 500 companies.
Now working in the tech sector, Leesa specializes in connecting people and creating meaningful, impact-driven relationships. Her deep commitment to service, coupled with over two decades of professional experience, makes her a powerful asset to the II Dope Chics Who Give a Care, Inc. board.
A Distinguished Toastmaster and proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Leesa is driven by a mission to empower others and uplift communities. She’s also a devoted mother, lifelong learner, and joy-seeker who believes in leaving every space better than she found it.

Latisha Harvey
Board Member
Ms. Latisha Harvey is a native of Jacksonville Florida and a proud graduate of Jean Ribault Senior High School. Earning a bachelor’s degree in communications from University of North Florida in 2002 and a master’s degree in Education Leadership and Supervision in 2009, Ms. Harvey served for 23 years in K-12 public education and administration. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Florida State College of Jacksonville. Her commitment to student achievement often involves her giving and serving on projects that support students in and outside of the classroom. Her passion for students aligns with our mission and core values. As a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. she continues to remain active in the community serving on projects that positively impact students.
Dzestinee Glenn- Bland
Board Member
Dzestinee Glenn-Bland is an innovative and results-driven professional with over seven years of experience across the education, nonprofit, philanthropic, and political sectors. She currently serves as the Unit Director of the Rutledge H. Pearson Boys & Girls Club in Jacksonville, Florida, where she oversees daily operations, staff management, budget compliance, and strategic youth programming for over 180 students. Holding a Master’s in Education and Training and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Florida, Ms. Glenn-Bland brings a strong foundation in leadership, community engagement, and program development. She is a master of logistics, execution, and planning, having spent years organizing conferences and programs for thousands of young people aged 2 to 26 all over the world.
Additionally, she has gained valuable experience working on various political campaigns, with a passion for grassroots organizing, strategic planning, and mobilization efforts. Her professional background includes roles as an educator, co-youth pastor, international nonprofit officer, and mentor. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Ms. Glenn-Bland is deeply committed to empowering youth, fostering inclusive environments, and bridging education with meaningful community impact.

Dr. Georgia Strong

Dr. Georgia Strong, a retired Navy veteran, has called Jacksonville, FL home for over 20 years, dedicating herself to uplifting underserved communities. She holds a Bachelor’s from the University of North Florida, a Master’s from South University, and a Doctorate in Nursing from Aspen University. An active member of Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority and Vice President of the Alpha Beta Eta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, she exemplifies leadership and scholarship.
As Clinical Program Director for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at United States University and a practicing clinician at Pediatric Associates, Dr. Strong combines expertise with compassion. A passionate advocate for education and social change, she is deeply committed to community-driven initiatives that inspire progress and create brighter futures for underserved communities in Jacksonville and beyond.
